Welcome

Welcome to Puffin Semantics! We launched this project because, as data architects, find ourselves building data-skyscrapers with proverbial data-Swiss-army-knives: we are not happy with the tooling that is available to our profession.

Our first attempt at making the life of a data architect better (that is: if you work in the electric utility domain) is the web-based publication of the IEC-CIM ontology!

Want to help?

One of the features we are trying to get off the ground in the CIM standard is for it to support language localization. If you have a (partial) translation of CIM to a language (other than English) please check out our github repository to see how you can help. We are hosting this project within our organization but hope to turn ownership over to the CIM user group as soon as this idea gets traction!.
